The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, Health Service and Population Research Department presents An Introduction to Qualitative Research Methods Summer School course 2017.
The course will describe qualitative research methods, including in-depth interviews, focus group discussions and participant observation. The course will also highlight the different theoretical approaches to data collection and analysis, including the Grounded Theory approach and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis.

The summer school is intended to introduce students to the basic principles and practices involved in undertaking qualitative research. It is relevant to researchers, mental health practitioners, services providers and users, and all those with an interest in understanding and applying qualitative research methods.
