Do you want to create interactive documents? Do you want your reports to automatically update when the data changes? Then this course is for you!
This course is based on workshop run by Garret Grolemund (RStudio) and Colin Gillespie (Newcastle University) at Strata 2015.
It is expected that partipants are already familar with R. In particular, they should be familar with basic data manipulations, functions, if statements and for loops. These concepts are covered in the Introduction to R andProgramming courses.
This event is also being hosted at DataFest. It is a festival of data innovation with events hosted across Scotland from 20th to 24th March 2017. Scotland is a melting pot of data innovation and the festival will further catalyse activity across the country and showcase Scotland’s leading role in data on the international stage.
The Data Lab is an innovation centre focused on generating significant economic, social and scientific value from data for Scotland. The Data Lab facilitates and enables industry, public sector and academia to innovate and develop new data science capabilities in a collaborative environment. It provides resources to kick-start projects, deliver skills through education programmes, and help to develop the local ecosystem by building a cohesive data science community.
